Big Daddy

 

Hey Everyone, how are you? I hope you all are having a wonderful week. 

I have decided to write about one of my favorite movies 🍿 Starring Adam Sandler, Dylan Sprouse, Cole Sprouse, Leslie Mann, and a wonderful cast of people. 

The movie is Big Daddy, It starts off with Sonny Koufax who is a 32 year old man who happens to be a slacker and he is a law school graduate he hasn’t taken his bar exam yet. 

He works one day a week as a toll booth attendant, he has his food delivered to him by his friend, he lives off of a 20,000 compensation from a small accident. 

He has a girlfriend named Vanessa who tells him that she is going to leave him unless he takes on more responsibility. 

His roommate Kevin proposes to his girlfriend Corrine, before he heads off to China to work on a case for his firm at work, she accepts his proposal she doesn’t like Sonny very much because he makes fun of her for her past job because she worked at hooters when she was in Medical school.

 The next morning we see Sonny waking up to a 5 year old named Julian McGrath who was left at his apartment , there is a note that says his mother is no longer able to take care of him and Kevin is his biology father.

Sonny calls Kevin and tells him the news he is very puzzled  by the whole situation , Sonny can be selfishly at times and doesn’t have a lot of parenting skills he tells Kevin he will take care of him until he gets back from China.

 Sonny sees Julian as a way to get his girlfriend Vanessa back he introduces her to Julian , unfortunately he discovered she has moved on with a much older person than him, his name is Sid, despite him being much older she tells Sonny Sid is Motivated and intelligent and has a 5 year plan.

 Sonny is becoming frustrated with parenting , Sonny decides to pose as Kevin and takes him to his social worker Arthur Brooks who tells Arthur Julian should return to his mother, Brooks tells him his mother died of cancer , he offers to place Julian in a foster home.

 When they get back to Sonny’s house he rants about the situation to his father Lenny who is mad and shocked  at Sonny for trying to raise a kid, due to his irresponsibility.

 Sonny decides to raise Julian in his own way, as they spend more time together they develop a close bond he finds Sonny a girlfriend Corrine’s lawyer sister Layla.

 Brooks finds a foster home for Julian and leaves a lot of messages on his machine and starts getting suspicious when he doesn’t hear back from him .

Sonny has a meeting at Julian’s school after his teacher complains about his behavior in school , due to Sonny’s influence Sonny rethinks his parenting skills towards Julian and he turns Julian’s behavior around. 

 A few days go by Brooks finds out that Sonny has been impersonating Kevin and he threatens to have him arrested if he doesn’t hand Julian over, Sonny complies he then calls Layla to take legal action In the situation that is happening with Julian. 

You will have to see the movie to find out what happens next with Sonny and Julian I can assure you that it is a happy ending.

 I decided to write about Big Daddy because you see how much work goes into parenting and all the things that parents do for their kids to make sure they are healthy, happy and safe.

 Parents love their kids with all their hearts, even though the Kids can give a hard time or can be difficult sometimes parents still love their kids no matter what, and will always cheer them on in their kind and always be their to support them and encourage them and help them with whatever they need help with at the time.

 Fun Fact Did you know Adam Sandler has been in a lot of movies, and he always finds a way for his family to be involved in whatever movie he is acting in at the moment because that is his way of spending time together with his family, family is very important to him . 

He is a wonderful kind, caring funny, guy and always looks out for everyone. All the people he has starred in movies with love him a lot and love acting with him in movies he brings out the best in a  lot of people and they bring out the best in him as well . 

One other fun fact is his movie Leo, you can find it on Netflix I encourage you to watch it when you get a chance amazing movie, he plays a lizard named Leo who lives in Florida and he has been stuck in the same school there for years you will get a kick out of it.

 My fun fact is his two daughters star in the movie with him, they each play a student in the school . 

About Parenting , to be real with you all my family members who are parents and have kids are doing an outstanding and excellent Job with their Kids I can tell their kids adore them and always happy to see them and spend time with them, I’m so happy 😁 I have been able to personally experience that when I visit with my family. 

It’s an amazing sight to see. My favorite Scene from Big Daddy is the court scene where everyone shows up for Sonny and explains to the Judge even through all the flaws Sonny has he still is a good person and  father and loves Julian and will do anything for him.

I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to watch a good heart felt movie that will make you laugh 🤣 

Why did I get married 2

Hey Everyone!! How are you ??? I hope you all are doing well!!! I had an incredible weekend, I saw the Queen of Pop Ms. Janet Jackson in concert 🎵 for the first time at the Hershey Stadium and she did an outstanding job and performance!!!

 She has been in the Business for 51 Years and she’s only 58 Years old and still going strong.  I will talk more about My favorite Singer Janet later. 

I’m going to talk about my favorite movie Why did I get married 2??? I did a blog on the first movie when they all went on a couples retreat together. This time I’m doing the sequel where they go on another retreat together this time in the Bahamas,  to catch you all up .Shelia and Mike are separated and she is married to Troy the officer now, Patricia and Gavin are still together and Angela and Marcus, Terry and Diane. 

Sheila and Troy are the first to arrive at the house they are staying at, it’s a beautiful place they are staying at they have an ocean view and can go Jet Skiing, Patricia and Gavin arrive next and he goes to Join Troy on the skis and then Terry and Diane arrive.

 Terry sees Gavin and Marcus in the water on the skis he decides to go join them too, and then Angela and Marcus show up, they are in the midst of arguing with each other and then there friends stop them from arguing and say hello ! 

They then say hello, and talk about their situation that happened at the airport when you see the movie you will see what happened, Marcus goes up to get changed and join the guys In skiing, the ladies decide to stay in and have a nice drink that Patricia makes for them and the ladies and men talk separately about the good and bad in their marriages. 

Here comes the surprise part that no one knew about Mike Sheila’s ex shows up to where there staying , everyone is surprised and upset especially Sheila , the guys asked what’s he doing there, he said he just wants to enjoy himself like everybody else, they decided to let him stay the guys tell the ladies that they’ll just keep their distance and keep Mike on a short leash, so the vacation won’t be ruined like the last time they all wend out together, that evening they all get together and Mike talks about his and Sheila’s relationship when they were together and that makes Troy angry.

 Sheila tells Mike everything is fine with her and Troy, Troy realizes that Mike misses Sheila and he tells him that he should have treated her right when he had the chance, he tells him that he doesn’t like that he’s there, he tells him to leave him and Sheila alone while he is there.

 Angela wants to know the password to Marcus cellphone to see if he has been with other ladies beside her, she thinks that he is cheating on her, he has kids with a different lady In Angela’s mind she thinks that he is going to the other lady he cheated on Angela with and having a relationship with her. 

Marcus loves 🥰 Angela he tries to explain to her that he would never leave her or cheat on her,  she’s nit hearing any of that at the moment, Terry and Diane are taking and she says a guys name she says Phil , she says it by accident .

Terry starts to get suspicious, when you see the movie you will see who Phil is and what Diane is talking about , Later In the evening they hear arguing and Terry and Diane hear the arguing they think it’s Angela and Marcus where it’s really Pat and Gavin.

Pat steps out of the room to give herself and Gavin some space and that he doesn’t wake anyone up in the house, Diane goes to check on Pat and she tells her that she and Gavin are fine, there ok Diane can tell something Is bothering her, she tells her if she keeps holding in whatever is bothering her it’s going to eat her up inside. 

Pat appreciates Diane checking on her, she tells Diane she is fine and to go back to Bed, Patricia goes downstairs to get some water, the next morning Sheila gets up to make some breakfast for Troy and Mike is there he tries talking to Sheila about their memories and their past relationship, he is trying to tell her that he misses her and he feels terrible about treating her badly.

 Sheila makes it clear that even though Mike misses her their relationship is done, and she wants nothing to do with him, later the ladies go to the beach and meet a nice older friendly couple you will see who the couple is when you watch the movie. 

They are throwing their friends ashes in the ocean, and it accidentally gets on Angela while she’s in the water that scene will make you laugh.

 Sheila invites them to a dinner why did I get married ceremony? Where the couples share why they got married stories, all of their storied are beautiful and moving, after the couples Share their stories Patricia makes an announcement she shares to all their friends that she and Gavin are getting a divorce. Gavin walks away distraught and upset because he didn’t know that she would be Announcing it to their friends that evening.

She tells everyone that they will see they are still good friends and will get along fine, the vacation has ended and Patricia and Gavin are meeting with their lawyers to go over all the paperwork and everything that goes along with the divorce settlement. 

The meeting starts to go awry when Gavin asks about the 850,000 dollars Patricia made on her book , Patricia said that she didn’t put that in the settlement because that’s her money that she made on the book. 

He continues to make Patricia upset, she leaves  the room and  Gavin tells Diane to tell Patricia to prepare for a fight, he is determined to get a part in that money.  

The next day Angela’s neighbor tells Angela she heard noises coming from her home, Angela thinks it’s Marcus and that he is Cheating on her, she goes in her house to check it out.

 Then she goes to Marcus Job and announces to everyone on air that Marcus is cheating on her, Marcus immediately gets embarrassed and upset and after that whole scene that she did Marcus gives her the Password to his cellphone which is her birthday. 

Later that evening Gavin comes home drunk , and confronts Patricia about how she didn’t shed one tear when their son Noah died, and that makes her angry, she tries to Leave the room, he won’t let her , he taunts her about her emotions about Noah and their divorce and he ends burning the photos and physically assaults Patricia, he douses her In alcohol.  

Meanwhile at Sheila’s request Mike helps Sheila to help Troy find a Job, the girls are out to lunch, and Angela lectures Diane and Sheila about how men are Cheaters. 

Patricia has changed the locks at her house, she catches Gavin and Terry and Marcus moving Gavin’s things out of the house, she then learns that Gavin has taken all their money out of the bank account including her book money , that enrages her she trashes the house with his golf clubs.

And then proceeds to tell them that it’s her house and to get out! Angela gets home early from her Job and thinks Marcus is cheating 

On her in her bedroom, she comes to find out it’s not Marcus it’s her cleaning people, Terry confronts Diane about her infidelity, she realizes she has had an emotional affair and begs for his forgiveness. Troy goes to Mike’s place to find out he helped him get the police job. 

He finds Sheila there and gets mad that she’s there and Sheila tearfully tells him that Mike has cancer and that she has been taking him to chemo, she tries to apologize he ends up leaving, the next day the ladies go to Patricia’s to comfort her and the ladies realize what has been wrong in their marriages, the guys are at a bar Troy apologizes to Mike and said that’s he’s very sorry. 

They all begin a new friendship, Mike realizing how precious life is tells them to fix their marriages because life is short, at Gavin’s Job he is publicly humiliated  and told off by an Angry Patricia, he runs to his car and as he is headed out he gets hit by a truck, Patricia and her friends are waiting at the hospital to find out his status, Patricia regrets what happened In her Marriage, she begs her friends to fix their marriages and to love one another, to not end up like her. 

You will have to see the movie to find out what happens with Gavin.

I decided to write about this movie because Janet Jackson is one of my idols she is absolutely Amazing and fantastic, and a strong woman, she has been in the business for 51 years and she is only 58 years old, she has been through a lot in her life, she is still holding on and keeping on keeping she is doing a tour a together again tour, which is absolutely wonderful. I loved 🥰 her concert, she has such a big and kind, beautiful heart.

 She loved her brother Micheal dearly ,I can tell how much she misses him, she does a tribute to him on her tour she does the song scream as a tribute to him, I know that she feels his presence With her and that he is extremely proud of her and that she is doing him proud in his legacy and her legacy. 

Her character Patricia she does an outstanding job playing her she brings her to life, when you see the movie you feel like she is an actual real human being. 

I also learned from this movie that life is precious and it’s important to enjoy life and to let people know much they mean to you while they are still here, 

In Janet’s documentary she shared a story about Micheal and that she’s glad that she got to have a moment with him before he passed away, and that their last words were to each other was I love 💕 you . And she said I’m glad to have that. 

Please continue to keep Janet and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they contemplate on in life. I hope to meet her one day and tell her how much she has inspired me until then I’m going to keep cheering her on, and being her biggest fan.
