Walk to Remember

 

 Hey Everyone.

 I hope you all are having a wonderful March so far, I am I had a wonderful birthday,  it was a day filled with love laughter and happiness. 

I have decided to write about a movie called Walk to Remember, Starring Mandy Moore, Shane West and a whole wonderful cast of people.

The movie starts off in North Carolina with a young man named Landon Carter who is a rebellious teenager, he and his friends leave evidence of under age drinking on school grounds and unfortunately severely injure another student while doing a prank.

 The principal gives him a choice of being expelled or helping the janitorial staff after school, as well as tutoring the fellow disadvantaged students at their sister school and being in the school play.

During the different functions Landon is in he notices Jamie Sullivan a girl he has known since Kindergarten who is the local ministers daughter, since he is part of the in crowd, he has barley noticed Jamie.

 She wears modest dresses and only owns one sweater, she makes no attempt to bring any attention to herself, and she wears no makeup.

Landon is having trouble learning his lines, Jamie who is also in the play agrees to help Landon learn his lines if he agrees to one thing that he can’t fall in love with her.

Landon at first thinks that won’t be any problem because he doesn’t have any feelings for her at first, at Least he thinks he doesn’t.

Landon begins practicing with Jamie  after school at her house, a spark of affection soon begins between them, even though Landon does like spending time with her, he can’t let his friends know that, he blows her off in front of his friends, after that she decides she wants nothing to do with him.

He rehearses independently and tutors independently, it is the night of the play Jamie astounds everyone and Landon with her voice, and beauty, when it comes to the ending of the play onstage Jamie sings and Landon kisses her that is not part of the play.

After that Jamie avoids him and she continues to avoid him until Landon makes a peace offering and buys her a new pink sweater, he also defends her after his friends play a mean cruel prank on her they photoshop her head on the body of another girl.

Landon asks Jamie on a date, she tells her fat he doesn’t allow her to date, he asks her dad if he can take Jamie out he at first resists then he decides to let him take her on a date their first date .

Landon helps Jamie fulfill a list of things she’d like to do, such as being in two places at once, and getting a tattoo, after that they go to the docks and Jamie explains to Landon how she experiences belief and how it is like the wind.

Landon kisses her, and declares his love for her, Landon’s mother finds a private list of his own dreams and aspirations he wants to go to medical school, to which he reveals Jamie is his inspiration, on another date Landon asks Jamie her plans for the future, she tells him she doesn’t have plans for the future, because she has leukemia , and hasn’t been responding to treatments. 

A desperate Landon asks his father for help in curing her, he is disappointed by reply, he comes to terms with Jamie’s condition and he tells her he will be there with her until the end.

 One day Jamie collapse's, and ends up in the hospital, while she is there she gives Landon a book that belonged to her mother, she tells Landon maybe God sent Landon to help her through her tough and hard times, that Landon is her angel Jamie is given private home care provided by Landon’s estranged father that releases Jamie’s dad from finical burden, Landon Visits his dad and tearfully thanks him, and they reunite and embrace.

 I decided to write about this movie because it talks about how special and wonderful life is, and to enjoy each and every moment of life.

My favorite scene from a walk to remember is when Jamie and Landon are talking and he gives her a temporary butterfly tattoo and how he fulfills all the things on her list that she wants to do while she’s able to do the things she wrote in her list.

 I also like the scene where she sings only hope, that when he really notices her and falls in love with her. And the dress she wears in the movie is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful and her hair is nice too.

I like how he slowly falls in love with her and sees that her beauty is in the eye of the bee 🐝 holder. And he sees her for who she is. And sees her heart that is kind and caring and compassionate and loving. 

 Life is short, it’s important to seize the day and every opportunity you have with your friends and family. Personally I try to enjoy each and every day I am blessed to have, personally I love living life to the fullest and sharing my smile and joy with others because seeing my friends and family smile makes me smile on the inside and outside. 

Before you leave a place or a event or occasion make sure the last words you say are in kindness and love, you don’t want to have the feeling of regret and wish you wouldn’t have said that….  And if you have done something wrong or feeling bad about something that happened towards you or that you did to someone ask for forgiveness… It’s not for other the other person it’s for you, and knowing in yourself that you did the right thing.  

I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to watch a good movie.
