Last Semester at Penn State Harrisburg

Hey everyone, I have exciting and bittersweet news. This is my last semester at Penn State Harrisburg, I have really learned a lot from the career studies program, It really helped me learn about the real world, and prepare for me a job in the world. 

I have made a lot of life-long friends from school, Before I started the semester,  I got an encouraging message from my big brother Devin saying you got this! Your Strong you can do this! 

That kept me going through the whole semester, knowing he and my family were in my corner. 

I have really learned a lot from being at Penn State, It feels like my second family, and makes me feel like the happiest girl in the world.  My friends have always been there to encourage me and support me with whatever I needed.  

I am graduating this semester because I have completed my last two semesters from the career studies program. I have really enjoyed my classes I took at Penn State Harrisburg, I have learned a lot from them and good lessons to take with me through my adulthood and life. 

I did take a break from school on one semester because I ended up with some health issues and had to take a leave from school, after my break I came back to school with a plan, and I was ready to go and I was ready to learn and be with all my friends and mentors again like I was before. 

I am excited and feel bittersweet at the same time because I loved attending school ,and being independent and seeing everyone every day. I felt like a whole new person at Penn State, I really felt like myself there because everyone made me feel very comfortable and cared about me.

I am excited for what I am doing after school, I am pursing a job in the theater industry because my goal is to work at Disney and be a cast member. I plan to apply to the Disney college program to see if I can attend there. Or Look for something In theater, and see if that can get me closer to working at Disney World. 

My friends are happy for me, at the same time they are sad because they are going to miss hearing my voice and seeing my smiling and happy face. I told them that I will come and visit.

My parents are excited and happy for me because they know I have worked very hard and I am achieving something good. My whole family is proud of me. They all care about me and love me very much. I want to make my family proud and happy. 

I will always be a Nittany lion! Once a Nittany Lion, Always a Nittany lion! I will always be a Penn State Harrisburg Student, I am very happy and blessed to be that. 

The Santa Clause Movie

I love the Santa Clause Christmas movie, It is about a father and his little boy who spend christmas together and something magical happens to his dad while they are spending christmas together. In the movie it shows Charlie Scott's son that his parents are divorced. 

So while he is visiting his dad, they go out to eat a restaurant and then come home, and he is putting charlie to bed, he reads him the book the Night before Christmas. After he says goodnight to charlie, charlie asks him a question that he doesn't understand from the story. He tells him what it means and they hear a noise on the roof, and it's Santa that they see on the roof, Calvin tells him to get off his roof, and what happens after that is a magical and fun adventure for Scott and Charlie, and it becomes something they never forget. 

I chose to write about this movie today, because Santa brings a lot of kids and families joy, they get so excited when it comes closer to christmas because they get to go see Santa and sit on his lap and tell him what they want for christmas. 

The Santa Clause movie is really fascinating and magical, in the movie you get to see what Santa does in his workshop, and see the elves making the toys. You see him go over the nice and naughty list. And see how happy and jolly, he is and how his cheeks are always rosy and red. It is one of my favorite movies because I love how it shows there is still magic, happiness and joy, and love in christmas. And it is something for the whole family and kids to enjoy. Tim Allen does a fantastic job playing Santa in the movie, he really puts himself into playing Santa Clause and the character and emotions of Santa, you can feel it when you are watching the movie. 

I enjoy seeing how happy and excited Charlie is when his dad becomes Santa Clause, it is special to him because he has a dad that is special in two ways, he gets to have him as a dad and as Santa Clause. He gets to go on adventures with him and ride in the sleigh with him and the reindeer, that is a memory he will get to keep forever while he is growing up from childhood into adulthood. I also like the part where one of the elves give charlie a snow globe, it is a snow globe of the North Pole, and whenever he is missing his dad, he just has to shake the snow globe and then his dad will come and see him. 

My favorite character in the movie is Charlie, because he believes in his dad in the whole movie, because at one Point Scott forgets everything that happened before he became in the role of Santa Clause, and Scot at first keeps telling charlie that none of that happened and that he isn't Santa Clause, he keeps reminding his dad and his mom and stepdad that Scott is Santa. And then finally when Scott goes over to visit charlie and talk with him about Santa, Charlie pulls out his snow globe and tells him to remember, he looks at the snow globe, and then instantly he remembers everything, he tells charlie thank you for helping him remember that he is Santa Clause, and that he can make other little kids happy too. 

 

The Grinch

My favorite movie around Christmas time is how the Grinch Stole Christmas. The Grinch is about how he tries to steal christmas from Who Ville. He loved christmas when he was a little boy, he was into all the decorations and the music, and the presents and everything. 

Until one day, the joy he had for christmas was gone. He had to decided to not like christmas anymore, and he also said that he hated it. He ran away from home, and he lived in a cave with his dog Max. He made a plan to take away the joy of christmas from everyone, so no-one could enjoy christmas in the same way that he doesn't enjoy it.  A miraculous thing happens to the grinch at the end of the movie you will love the movie and what happens to the grinch.

 I chose to write about this movie because, I want people to give the grinch a chance to see deep down, he is really kind and loving in the inside, he might not look so pretty or handsome on the outside, he means well, he is nice on the inside, he just had a rough experience with christmas in his childhood, that all changed when he enters his early adulthood and experiences the true happiness and magic in christmas. 

It is one of my favorite christmas movies because I love how the movie shows the grinch"s storyline in the movie, and how it shows him growing up from his childhood into his adulthood, I also like it because It is a movie I can enjoy with my family and friends. And I really like the actor who plays the grinch Jim Carrey, he does a fantastic job, he really gets himself into the character and portrays him very well, and feels all the grinch's emotions in the movie. 

I enjoy the part where Cindy Lou first meets the grinch, and at first she is a little scared because she at first thinks the grinch is mean and scary, and not a nice person. As the movie moves along, she starts to get used to the grinch's appearance and sees that he is a nice person, and that she just had to give him a chance to show her that he really is a nice person with a nice heart, he just needed some kindness poured into it and someone to show him the true meaning of christmas, from another kind and caring person, also someone who loves Christmas. And I also love when they do the grinch song scene.

My favorite Part of the movie is where the grinch's heart starts to melt, and grow in size because he is becoming happy, and beginning to love christmas again, like he did when he was a little boy, and he is singing and smiling again, and celebrating christmas with his town folks. He realizes the magic the happiness in christmas again.

My favorite character in the movie is the grinch because, he really grows to learn the true meaning of christmas throughout the movie. 

I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good christmas and heart-felt warming movie that will put a smile on your face.

I love my Family :)

  I love my family.  My family has always been there for me, through everything in my childhood and my early adulthood. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family. I chose to write about family today, because my family is very important to me, and they have always been there to encourage me and cheer me on, and have been at every celebration event I have had in my life. I know that my family will always be there to guide me and cheer me on. I have a lot of great and fun memories with my family, they have been there through every moment that I have had in my life whether happy or sad moments. I can always count on my family whenever I need something or if they need something from me.  

My family lives in different states, we all are separated in different states.  I wish we could be closer together, because then I could see my family more often. I guess this way, I get to travel around the world, and visit different states and family members. That is something my grandfather always wanted to do, he wanted to travel and visit the family state by state and have  a visit. I always have a good time when I visit my family, I can forget all my worries, and fears because when I am visiting with my family, that all seems to go away because I am happy to be with my family, and see everybody, It makes my heart fill with so much joy and happiness. I have been traveling to visit my family since I was the age of two, up too 23.

 I have traveled all most of my childhood and adulthood, My family is so loving and kind, they always have a smile on their face when they see me. They know how much I love them, and how important they are to me. I keep in touch with my family too, It is important to stay connected, because you know never know what tomorrow will bring. I remember one moment when we came together as a family, It was my grandpa grays funeral, and my moms brothers came up for the funeral to support my grandma through her mourning time. They wanted to be with my grandma to let her know that they care about her and love her, and to let her know she was not alone in her time of grieving her husband.  

I have a lot of family memories. I believe my favorite family memory was my high school graduation that was a wonderful moment in my life, my whole family came up to see me, at that time I didn't know that was going to be the last time I was going to see my Uncle Herb, I am so grateful and blessed that he came to my graduation and drove me there, that is a special memory I will have forever. And my grandma came up for my graduation too, I was really happy to see her. And my cousin Sharrie came and my Uncle Warrie, and My Uncle Deric and my big brother/Cousin Devin came, I was so happy to have my family there with me to celebrate a big day in my life. I have two other favorite
memories, another one is going to visit my cousin Sharrie, and visiting the abc 6 news station, and getting to watch her live, that was so exciting! She did a terrific and amazing job, she is beautiful! I love her very much. 

 I was happy that I was able to get  a picture with her at her news desk. My last favorite memory is dancing with my big brother Devin at my high school graduation party, that is my favorite memory because I wanted to have a special dance at my party with him, because I love him very very much and he means a lot to me, he is one of my best friends. One more favorite memory I have Is seeing my cousin Ria, on FaceTime at my graduation party, she looked so beautiful and Happy. That made my day, My family celebrated my graduation with me from the career studies program.

I think I am close to a lot of family members in my family, I am closer to a few family members than others in my family, I am really close with my Uncle Deric, and my Aunt Erica, and My aunt Joan,and my cousin kevin,  My cousin Sharrie, My cousin Tia, My Uncle Roosevelt, My cousin Brenda, My cousin Ria, My cousin Alyssa, My cousin Aaron, My cousin Mickey, My cousin Rhonda, and My other Cousin Rhonda, My Uncle Tony. And my favorite my Big brother Devin. 

I think everyone should value family because family is very precious and very good to have with you. I love my family with my whole heart, I would do anything for my family, family is a big part of me and I don't know what I would do without my family. I love getting hugs from them and getting to talk to the them to the phone. It makes my heart fill with so much Joy and warmth. 

I would say to those who don't have a family, Family doesn't have be related to you or blood relatives you can have family anywhere you go. Family is always going to be there because we love and care for each other. 

I love my family with all my Heart.

High School Musical

Hey everyone,  I love Disney musicals also! One of my favorite Disney musicals is High School Musical. It is about a group of high school students with different storylines and they all go on different avenues and adventures in the movie. It has a lot of exciting things in the movie, and really good singing, and songs, also acting.  The main plot is about a high school popular guy who loves sports and hanging out with his friends, and a smart girl who loves math and is very book smart, who happen to meet each other one evening at a NewYears eve party, where there a lot games and also karaoke. 

The characters names are Troy and Gabriella, there parents tell them to go to the party so they can hang out with their generation and have some fun and enjoy the evening. At the party, one of the people there looks out into the audience and randomly picks troy and Gabriella to sing together, troy sings first, he is a little shy and nervous, his singing voice sounds really nice and amazing. Then it is Gabriella's turn to sing next, troy at first was going to leave because he was thinking that she was not going to sing her part of the song. Then he hears her sing and decides to finish out the song with her. The story of what happens between Troy and Gabriella is really good. Once you see the movie and get an understanding of what is happening between them and their storyline you will enjoy the movie the whole way through and have a smile on your face the whole movie. 

I chose this movie to write about today because I have good memories with high school musical from personal memories. One year when I was in middle school, I wanted to have a high school musical themed party! So my mom and I bought stuff for my birthday party that was high school musical themed, and we even bought a high school musical party book that explained what to buy and what to have at a high school musical themed birthday party. We had everything from the streamers, to the birthday cake, to the decorations and then the music. And we also had the movie playing. We also had a surprise guest; I didn't know that this surprise guest was coming to my party, so it was a surprise to me too, my godmother played the part of Sharpay Evans. she was pretending to be Sharpay from the movie, and she dressed how she dressed and even had her style of talking down. Everyone loved it, she did a fantastic job and made me very happy. 

Another special memory I have is at my graduation party when I graduated from high school. I love the song Can I have this Dance? from high school musical 3 at my p
arty I wanted to have a special dance with my big brother/cousin Devin to this song, the DJ at my party was fantastic, he set up my moment perfectly, he put the spotlight on and said Devin would you please come to the center of the dance floor? Emerald would like to have a special dance with you. When he came up, I said May I have this dance? He said of course. We danced to the song, and he made feel like the only person in the room, It was a wonderful moment for me and one I will keep forever in my Heart. I love him very much. 

My favorite part of the movie is when they sing the start of something new, It seems so magical and exciting at the same time. They are getting to know each other and both can see a special light that shines in each other, And that their voices and spirits go good with each other. It is a wonderful upbeat song and has good and uplifting lyrics that they express with their hearts and through their smiles. 

My favorite character in the movie is Troy, because he is kind and loving, he has a very caring heart, and he really cares about Gabriella and his friends and family. He shows a lot of maturity through all three movies. 

My favorite song from the high school musical series is Can I have this dance because of the special memory I have with that song and it has wonderful words. My other favorite song is I want fabulous, that is the song Sharpay sings, she is another one of my favorite characters she is sassy and sweet at the same time. She means well. Ashley Tisdale does an amazing job playing her. I would recommend this movie to people who love to listen to music, like a good storyline and loves to dance.
