The Nutty Professor

 Hey, I hope you all are having a wonderful week!! In celebration of Black History Month,  I have decided to write about the Nutty Professor starring Eddie Murphy and Jada Pinkett Smith. It is one of my favorite movies. 

Eddie's character is named Sherman Klump, he is an obese man he is very kind and caring he is a professor at Wellman College, he creates different experiments and also teaches students. His assistants name is Jason. 

 One of his experiments  he made has made deals with DNA and it made to lose weight easier and I think a little more faster, Jada's character is Miss. Purty her first name is Carla.

Sherman likes her a lot she decides to visit his classroom one day to say hello and to talk to him, after they talk for a while he asks her out on a date and she says that she hears a lot of people at the school like a place called  the Scream it is a very popular hang-out so they decide on the scream. 

And they are on their date they are enjoying themselves so far and as the evening progresses they get entertained with a stand-up comedian his name is Reggie he roasts different people and says jokes about them that he thinks is funny. 

Sherman notices that he is roasting different tables that are close to the stage and the spotlight is getting close to his table he tries to make a quick get-away before he gets to his table, unfortunately he is too late.

Reggie starts roasting him as soon as he sees him get up from the table, he says a couple of jokes and then Sherman says he got him and then he wants him to stop and he is still making jokes and making fun of him. 

Sherman does laugh for  a little in the beginning and then he ends up with a frown and disappointed look on his face because all this is happening in front of his date and he is really embarrassed and hurt.

The Gentleman that Sherman is takes Carla home and she apologizes about what happened that evening and that they will do something else next time, she tells him she will see at school, Sherman leaves her home and heads back to his working space and decides to the formula on himself because he thinks that if he is thin then everything will be better for him and everyone will like him. 

He puts the formula on himself and amazingly it works he loses weight and is a whole different person. At first when he looks at his first appearance of himself as a man who lost weight he doesn't recognize himself because he is thin and then he eventually does recognize himself and goes on a shopping spree, he is so excited! 

When you watch the movie you will see that Sherman gives himself  a different name with this new experiment of himself because he and the experiment have different personalities.  He decides to name himself Buddy love, you will see how he gets the name when you watch the movie, Buddy is the life of the party, he is loud and funny and has a big personality. 

When you see the movie you will see how Buddy is different from Sherman, Buddy likes expressing himself and making sure everyone knows who he is and what he does and how he provides to the world. He is a very exciting character, when you watch the movie you never know what direction he is going or what he is going to do next. 

He is very funny in the movie and will most likely make you have a belly laugh. 

You will see the journey of Sherman, Buddy and Carla is  funny dramatic and exciting, It comes out with a happy ending Eddie Murphy and Jada do an outstanding job in the movie, they makes their characters really come to life and it feels like you are feeling how they are feeling when the movie is being portrayed  they put their all into their movie characters.

I decided to write about this movie today because it is a very nice and touching story, the lesson I learned from the movie is to like yourself for who you are and to never change yourself for someone else, Sherman changed himself and he did not like who he had become. 

He decided to change back to his old self and stay true to himself because he knows that he is the only person that can make himself shine. 

 I have a very unique high voice and it is very special to me and i sound like a young girl, I do a get a lot of compliments on it I have heard that I sound like the Singer Michele I used to try to make my voice deep because that is what I was told to do to make my voice sound more mature and like an adult. 

When I would force myself to talk deep it would hurt my throat because I wasn't used to talking that way so I decided to talk the way I wanted to talk and use the voice that I was blessed with and born with, hopefully I will get to use it for animation one day or something fun in the future I like my voice and I am not going to change my voice because I like my voice and it is the voice that was chosen special for me. 

My favorite scene from Nutty Professor is when Sherman and Buddy get into a fighting match at a very important banquet for the school, and you will see who wins the argument.

 The part I like is when Sherman makes a speech about who he is and what kind of person he is and who he is in real life. He said that he has decided to be the person that he is and to keep moving forward. He said that he will exercise and try to lose weight and even when he does that he will still be a overweight man and that he is ok with that.

I recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good Comedy/Romance

Diary of a Mad Black Woman

 Hey everyone In celebrating Black History Month, I have decided to write about a Madea movie, It is called Diary of a mad black woman. It stars Tyler Perry, Kimberley Elise and Cicely Tyson and Steve Harris. 

The movie starts off with Kimberley's character and Steve Harris Character, they are celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary.

 They seem to have the perfect relationship and a wonderful life, her character is named Helen and his character is named Charles, he is an attorney and she is a stay at home wife and doesn't have a job and trying to keep her marriage going in the right direction.

 Helen decides to run some errands and when she arrives back home she sees a U-Haul in her driveway she goes to see what is going on and why the truck is there and the driver tells her that he was told to wait there and not to move. 

Helen goes in the house and asks her maid if she knows whats going on? And she tells her that her husband put all new clothes in the closet and she thinks that he bought all the new clothes for her for an anniversary present. 

She gets in to one of the new dresses so she can surprise him when he comes home and give him his anniversary present. 

He arrives home and she tells him Happy Anniversary and he takes the gift and tells her that he wants a divorce and that he is love with someone else and that he is a father to her kids, she tells him that she is not leaving. 

You will have to watch the movie to find out what he does, It is a very intense and dramatic scene that happens in the movie.

Helen leaves the house with the U-Haul guy and he is asking her where he can take her, she tells him that her husband alienated her from her entire family and made her put her mother in a home because she didn't fit in his lifestyle. He then says that he is sorry about that and he has another job to go to soon, she tells him to get out of the truck and she will drive herself to where she wants to go. 

The drivers name is Orlando he plays an important part in the movie make sure to look out for him when you watch. He gets out of the truck and lets her have it, and then Helen arrives at her grandmothers house Madea's house and tells her that she will be staying there for a little. 

Until she can get back on her feet again and that she will look for a job while she is staying there. When you see the movie you will see the exchange they have together when Helen arrives at her grandmother's house. 

I decided to write about this movie because it is a very moving story and really pulls at your heart strings. All of the cast really pour their hearts into the roles of the characters they are playing in the movie. 

You will see all the changes that Helen is going through since she has left her home and her husband Charles. 

And all the emotions that she has been holding come out later in the movie, you will see a lot of her emotions in a different scene in the movie when there is an incident that happens with Charles and she comes back to help him and help him regain his strength again. 

And Helen is also very mad at him for the way he has treated her and talked to her, you will see all of that when you see the movie it really keeps you on the edge of your seat. 

My favorite scene is when Helen and Madea go back to her original house to collect her things and take them back to her grandmothers house.

They try to get all of her stuff before her husband comes home Helen tells her grandmother that she is going down to the office because she forgot a couple of things he arrives home and they are still there in the house. The rest of the scene is very funny. And Madea gets very upset when she arrives downstairs and sees how rude Helen's husband is being to her.  

My favorite character is Helen because after everything she has been through she still remains strong and is confident in herself and keeps her head up.

 You will see in the movie that she also gets a happy ending and it puts a big smile on her face and she has a lot of joy in her heart because she gets a second chance at happiness and she is happy from ear to ear. 

I recommend this anyone who loves watching a good Madea Movie.

Black History Month

 Hey everyone, February is Black History Month, It is a month celebrating Achievements and African American People,

It is a time to think over the roles they had in the United States of History. A lot of Historian black people have had different roles in life they have contributed to the United States, Harriet Tubman freed the Slaves, Martin Luther King had a dream and did everything in his power to make people of different races come together. 

Rosa Parks didn't give up her seat on the bus because she wanted everyone to be treated fairly and that everyone would have a chance to sit wherever they want whether it is on a bus, airplane or train, or a restaurant. 

The month started in 1915 after half of a century of the thirteenth amendment when they abolished slavery in the United States. (Source: History.com, 2010).

I have a few favorite actors and actresses that I admire and would like to celebrate with it being Black History Month.

 My first favorite Actress is Janet Jackson, she is a very powerful and strong woman, she has gone through a lot in her childhood and Adulthood, even after everything she has gone through she came out strong and better than ever. 

She calls herself the Black Diamond because she is tough to break and Diamonds are solid and tough just like she is. She is also very kind, genuine, and caring, she loves being a mother and loves her family very much. I admire her because seeing how strong and tough and caring she is reminds me of myself because I have been through some situations in my life that were hard and rough I still came out strong and made it through it all. Janet Jackson is the Queen Of Pop and she is doing an outstanding job.

My second favorite Actress is Queen Latifah because she is bubbly, kind, light-hearted very funny, and charismatic. She is an amazing singer and very awesome Actresses, whenever I see her on the tv or having an interview she always has a smile on her face and that is amazing to me. I enjoy her movies, she does do an excellent job with her career and life. I believe that she is admired and loved by a lot of people, and has touched many lives with all she has done in her life and career. I like her movie Joyful noise because the movie shows off her personality and her amazing singing voice, That is a wonderful movie you all should check out when you have the chance.

My third favorite Actress is Gabrielle Union because she is a Powerful and Triumphant Business - Acting woman, she is very caring and funny. I like her because she puts a lot of herself into her work and movies, she also always has a bright smile on her face whenever I see her on TV. She loves being a mother, I think it brings her a lot of joy.

She has had a very successful and amazing career and is continuing to have one. She has touched many lives and hearts with all she has done in the world. A lot of people admire and are inspired by her because she is very encouraging and uplifting. One of my favorite movies with her is Almost Christmas her character Rachel is very lively and funny in the movie. She plays a very good role in the movie. 

What I like about her role is she is having some trouble with her sister Cheryl they aren't very close so she does something in the movie to irritate her sister and it ends up hurting her sister, but once they work through the situation they end up starting to rebuild their relationship and become close as sisters. If you watch the Movie Almost Christmas you will see the scene I am talking about it is a very good movie and very family Oriented.

Another favorite Actress is Miss.J-Hud/Jennifer Hudson! She is a Magnificent and Strong Woman! She is very caring, kind, compassionate and has a smile that lights up every room she walks into. She has had a wonderful and outstanding career and has touched and inspired a lot of peoples lives and hearts! She has gone through a lot in her life, after everything she has gone through she has still held her head up and held onto her faith and kept looking towards God! 

One of my favorite movies with her is Hairspray Live she does an amazing and fantastic job playing Motormouth MayBelle she really brings her to life and makes the audience feel like she is the real person! She also did an outstanding job playing Miss. Aretha Franklin, she really made it her own and put her whole self into Aretha. 

Aretha personally chose J-Hud to play her and I believe she made an excellent and wise decision and that she would be very proud! She is a phenomenal woman and is very royal in her own unique way, her favorite color is Purple and mine is too. She is a true Queen. 

'My first favorite Actor is Will Smith because he has a very bright and Jovial Personality and always brings joy and laughter where he goes. He has had an amazing and long career and is continuing to have one. 

He is very bright, caring, loves to laugh, hangs out with his friends and family. He has made a lot of amazing movies, and he is the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I know and believe he has made a lot of people smile and laugh and bring joy to a lot of people's lives and Hearts. He has a very big and caring heart and I believe he wants the best for everyone. My favorite movie with him is Aladdin because he does an outstanding job in the movie, he gets to show off his musical persona and bring himself into playing the genie and not overshadowing Robin Williams. You all should check out Aladdin when you have the chance.

My second favorite Actor is Nick Cannon because he always makes me laugh and smile. He is a very happy and caring man, and always helps others when they need him. He is a wonderful father, he loves his kids and his family. 

He has a lot of fun and amazing jobs and is very excellent at them. He has had an awesome and amazing career and has done a lot in his life and is very successful. He has a very cute laugh, and it always puts a smile on my face. I love his movie drum line he does an outstanding job check it out when you have a chance.

My third favorite actor is Denzel Washington because he is a strong man and always brings a strong presence and character to all his movies. He has done a lot of good and amazing work in all his years of life, he has helped a lot of people and paved a way for a lot of actors and a lot of generations. 

I believe his movies will continue forever because he is an awesome and outstanding guy, he always has a lesson that is taught in each of his movies and I am sure that he runs into a lot of fans that say a lot of their favorite lines from his movies that he says that they like. Denzel is awesome! You should check out his movies when you get a chance you will love them. I love his movie Fences, It is very Dynamic. 

I am glad to celebrate Black History Month and have a legacy that a lot of generations to come and look and see what a lot of people have done in the world and what they made of their legacy and their impact on the world and on people, when they grow up they can tell their children about Black history month and their favorite people and who they admire and what it means to them. 

What Men Want-Taraji P Henson

Hey Everyone ! I have exciting news to Celebrate Black History, I am writing my One Hundredth  blog on one of my favorite movies With TaraJI P Henson, It is Called What Men Want, She does an outstanding job in this movie and is very funny. 

She plays a character named Ali Davis she is a successful Sports Agent in the State of Atlanta she is not included by her male colleagues, she is the only women at her work place, she is wanting a promotion on her job since she has done a wonderful job and has been working so hard,

 It is given to someone else she asks her boss why it was not given to her and he says because he thinks she does not connect well with men. 

She announces that she is going to sign Jamal-Barry he is a young basketball Player. He is an up-and coming basketball star that is starting to get known in the world. 

After a long day at work Ali decides to go out and hang out with her father and have a drink, after they talk and he says goodbye she goes up to the bar and starts flirting with one of the bar-tenders his name is Will, he plays a significant part in the movie, you will see him once you watch the movie and figure out what role he is playing and how he is matched with Ali.  

Ali decides to go ahead home and get some rest to prepare for the next day, she ends up arriving at her photo-shoot with one of her clients, and she stands up for her client, which makes an also very important character in the movie named Joe Barry angry. 

Jamal's father and manager, you will see the role he plays and what he is like when you watch the movie, he is a very funny character that will make you laugh,  After her photoshoot, she is goes to her friends Mari's bachelorette party and she is introduced to a physic named Sister, Sister gives her some kind of potion that will help her understand men,  

She is feeling kind of weird after the party, and ends up going to the hospital, the doctor is telling her she looks good and that she will be able to go home soon, when the doctor isn't speaking anymore and looking at  his chart, she can hear what he is thinking, she doesn't understand what is happening and leaves the hospital right away.

When you see the movie, You will notice the change that happens with Ali, and the situations that she goes through after she meets with the physic. She at first is really freaked out about it because she is hearing all kinds of inner thoughts by different men. She then is happy about it because she uses it to her advantage for her job and you will see what happens in the movie with Ali and her secret weapon that she has.

I decided to write about this movie because It is a nice story, and it is very comical; and dramatic and keeps you engaged with the story the whole time. You never know what is coming up next which makes the story exciting and thrilling, Taraji really brings her character to life, and makes the movie very fun and light-hearted and it brings a smile to your face. Some of the scenes in the movie are very heart-felt and genuine. Every one gave a hundred percent on the movie.

My favorite scene from the Movie is When Taraji first finds out, she can hear voices and it is really freaking her out, and she doesn't know what to do. Her assistant picks her up from the hospital and they are on their way to work, while they are on their way she can hear what his thoughts are in his head even when he isn't saying anything, she puts up with it as long as she can, she then tells him to drop her off and she is going to take the stairs, he tells her that she doesn't do stairs, you should see how fast she moves up the stairs. The rest of the scene is so funny! She is one of my favorite Actresses. 

I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoy romantic comedies and gain the hilarious insights about the inner thoughts of Men. It is a movie for Adults and young Adults!

Princess Diaries

 Hey everyone! One of my favorite movies with Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews is Princess Diaries, My Family and some of my friends call me Princess Emerald It is a nickname for me! 

Anne Hathaway's character is named Mia she is a girl in high school and she lives with her single mother Helen,they live in a refurbished house in San Fransisco . 

She is not very popular where she attends school and she is unnoticeable by her fellow peers, she has a fear of public speaking and she has a crush on a boy at school his name is Josh Bryant, she is often teased by his girlfriend Lana. 

She only has a couple of friends at school her best friend is named Lilly and her other friend is named Micheal Lilly's brother he has a crush on Mia she doesn't know it yet.

 Later on after school her mom informs her that her Grandmother called her and wants to visit with them she at first is surprised about her grandmother calling because they haven't talked in a long time, she is looking forward to seeing her though, her grandmother arrives and they talk for a little and catch up and then Mia learns that her grandmother that she is a sole heir to their European Kingdom Of Genovia.

 This is Julie Andrews character Clarisse the queen of a European country and Mia learns that  she inherited the throne from her father who recently passed Philipe. 

Clarissa is determined to get Mia ready for her princess duties and teach her the ways of being a princess and all the things that she has to know about being a princess and what kind of rules she should follow so that one day she can rule the kingdom where her grandmother lives.

 Mia when she finds she is a princess she at first is very overwhelmed and surprised then she gradually becomes comfortable with it step by step.  

Before she officially decides and becomes comfortable her mom makes a deal with her that she will attend the princess lessons her grandmother has prepared and make her decision when it is time for the ball in the kingdom.

When you watch the movie, You will see all the lessons Mia goes through and all the things she learns about how to be a princess and how her and her grandmother become closer and have a good relationship while they spend time together in the kingdom. 

They learn a lot about each other while they spend time together and get to know each other's personalities. A lot of the lessons scenes that Mia learns will make you laugh and smile, you will see that at first she has a little trouble in the beginning adjusting to being a princess and living in a kingdom and country that is new to her, you will see that she eventually gets the hang of it and is a excellent Princess.

I decided to write about this movie today, because I look at myself as a Princess and someone that is very kind, caring and cares about people. 

A princess has a wonderful and Kind heart and is always by your side. I also like Princess diaries because it makes me think of all the princesses at Disney World and how much fun they have being a princess, they love being princesses and living in the Happiest Place on Earth. ˇThey always put a smile on a Child's face whenever they come and say hello, and also take a picture with them. It is something they can keep forever and look back on.

While the makeover is happening one of the assistants is brushing her hair, she has very thick hair and the guy tries brushing her hair with his brush and then the brush ends up breaking because of how thick her hair is. That part always makes me laugh, you will really laugh at the scene when you watch the movie. 

My favorite character Is Mia because she does an amazing job of portraying all the emotions she goes through while she is in the process of becoming a princess, she really brings you in the story you feel like you are actually there with her the whole time. Anne Hathaway does an outstanding Job!

I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to watch a wonderful movie and will have a smile on their face the whole time!
