He helps get his clients out of trouble and not go to jail. He is known as a crooked lawyer he also lives in Los Angeles, he is divorced his ex-s wife name is Audrey and he has a five year old son named Max.
He and Max have a wonderful father-son relationship. They play a game together whenever Fletcher comes to visit max he greets him with the claw.
He pretends that he has a pain in his arm and then playfully puts his arm towards max and says that the Claw will get him and he tickles him playfully and chases him around everywhere.
He really enjoys his job he loves it so much that he often puts his job before spending time with his son max.
And is often breaking promises to his son and his ex-wife Audrey and then he makes up reasons for why he broke the promise and for why he was late to spend time with Max.
One of the reasons he is really good at being at a lawyer is because he is a good liar, his lies tend to be believable to the judge and that gets clients get out of whatever trouble they were in to land them in court.
He has also built himself a reputation at work as a good defense attorney.
One day Fletcher goes to pick up Max so they can spend some together before he has to drop him off at his mom's house, he tells Max that he just has to stop by his job to work on a couple of things and then they can have fun together.
When he arrives at work, you will see how he interacts with his co-workers and how quick he comes up with something to tell them when they ask him different questions, It is a very funny scene in the movie.
They make it to his office and Max says hello to his dad's assistant Greta and tells her that his birthday is soon and that he is turning 5, and that he is having a birthday Party.
After they talk fletcher tells Max to wait in his office for him, and that he will be there in a minute. Fletcher tells Greta that he forgot to get Max a birthday present, Greta picks up a birthday present and gives it to Fletcher to give to Max, he tells Greta that she is the best.
He goes into his office to give the birthday Present to Max. Max wonders what the gift is? His dad tells him you have to open it and see, he opens it and it is a baseball set.
Max is so excited about his gift and asks his dad if they can play catch together, fletcher tells him that he will play with him later when he is done with his work.
Fletcher finishes up with work, then drives max back to his moms house before Max goes inside he asks his dad if he is coming to his birthday he tells him do not forget. He tells him that he will be there.
You will see in the movie what happens at Max's birthday party after he blows out at the candle on his birthday cake.
I just wanted to let you all know Max's birthday wish involves Fletcher because Max is disappointed that his dad did not show up to his party. You will see what his birthday wish is when you watch the movie.
You will see while Fletcher is going through these different changes. Fletcher finds out different stuff about himself that he did not think of before. I think you will like what happens with Fletcher and Max's relationship.
Something also happens with Fletcher's family close to the end of the movie, that is a happy scene too.
I decided to write about this movie today because it shows in the beginning how fletcher is all about his job and how he loved moving up in his job. Later he realizes that his Son should come before his job because he can always get another job but he cannot get another son. It also shows in the movie how important family is and how they are always there to love and care for you, they always have your back and in your corner whenever you need them.
He likes making jokes and playing with Max. It also shows that it is okay to tell a little lie once in a while but it is not okay to lie if it ends up hurting the other person and then the person that you told the lie too will feel like they can't trust you because you lie a lot.
It is important to always tell the truth, the truth makes you feel good inside and the truth sets you free. You will see in the movie Fletcher has a scene like this in the court scene when he is with one of his clients, something changes in him while he is defending his client.
My favorite scene from the movie is when Fletcher is in his office, and he is still dealing with the incident of Max's birthday wish. He realized that when he made it into the office that he cannot lie.
You will see the different things that happen to fletcher along the way are very funny. He picks up a pen and tries to say the wrong color of the pen to see if he can lie. The color of the pen he is holding is royal blue, he wants to say the color of the Pen is green. He tries to say the pen is green, it is not working because of the birthday wish reaction. He says to himself if he can not say it then he will write it, he tries to write what he wants the color of the pen he wants to be, That isn't working either.The scene is very hilarious i think it will make you laugh out loud about the different tactics he goes through with the color of the pen,
My favorite character is Fletcher because even though he acts selfish, and not kind, or caring in the beginning of the movie and cares more about his work then his family.
He ends up changing and becomes, kind,caring, personable and fun to be around close to the end of the movie. There is something that really touches my heart he tells his son Max that he will lie to other people sometimes when he has to work and defend his clients, you will see in the movie what happens with his job. He tells Max that he is very important to him and that he will always tell him the truth.
I recommended this movie to anyone loves a good family comedy.
