Hey everyone! I see that there are some Linsday Lohan fans like me, so I have decided to do a montage of Linsday movies, today I have decided to write about a movie I know you all will be familiar with the Parent Trap.
It stars Linsday Lohan, Natasha Richardson, Dennis Quaid, Elaine Hendrix, Lisa Ann Walter.
The Story starts off with two people named Nick Parker and Elizabeth James they meet on a cruise ship and end up falling in love and getting married.
They are blessed with two twin girls named Hallie and Annie shortly after the girls are born there parents end up divorcing each other and each parent takes one of their twins back home with them where they live, they also end up losing contact with each other and raise their daughters without telling them they have a twin sister.
Nick raises Halley in Napa California he also becomes a wealthy wine grower, and Elizabeth raises Annie in London and she becomes a famous wedding designer. Eleven years have gone by and by coincidence Nick and Elizabeth send their daughters to the same summer camp it is based in Maine and it is called Camp Walden.
Hallie and Annie arrive at the camp Hallie gets dropped off the camp and is looking for her bag when she arrives at the camp, it is packed in tight with other bags, she tries her hardest to pull it out where the other bags are stacked against each other, it is really wedged in there.
A girl from the camp notices that she needs help with her bag, she tries to get out for her she cant get it either she sees another girl that would be able to help her bag out, the girl is able to get her bag out, she says thank you all and they all introduce themselves to each other. The girls then see a limousine arrive at the camp and wonder who is inside it.
Annie then arrives at the camp, her butler drops her off, you will see what the butler does in the movie when he is saying goodbye to Annie, before he leaves he gives her a deck of cards to see if someone else can beat her at poker.
Hallie and Annie are getting something to eat at the camp they don't notice each other yet, one of the leaders of the camp talks to both of them she doesn't realize their twins she thinks they are one person. After they eat there is a fencing match going on.
Hallie has won the last couple of matches that she did with the other people she fenced and one of the other leaders at the camp asks if someone else would like to challenge Hallie at fencing, Annie says that she will take a chance at it, so they begin fencing and it goes on for a little, it's a funny scene you will see it when you watch the movie.
Annie ends up winning the fencing match, and they both have their backs turned toward each other at the end because something happens during the fencing, the instructor tells them to shake hands, and when they turn to face one another that is when they notice that there is a similarity between them.
Hallie and Annie at first do not get along with each other, they have a prank war with themselves and it ends up with one of the camp counselors falling into one of the traps and Hallie and Annie both get in trouble because of the whole prank war situation, they have to go to an isolation cabin for the rest of the time they have at camp.
While they are in the isolation cabin, they start learning about each other, and start getting along with each other, they then start asking each other questions about their parents, they both say to each other that one of them lives with their dad and the other lives with their mom.
While talking with one another, they discover they have the same birthday and were born the same year, and that they both keep half a picture of their parents with them to have by their side. They show the pictures of their parents to each other and say which parent is theirs and they end up realizing they are sisters, and Annie tells Hallie they are twins.
They divisive a plan before it is time to leave camp and they decide to switch places so they both can meet the parent that they haven't met.
They go along with the plan and they say before they go their separate ways they will stay in contact with each other to see how it is going, you will see in the movie the plan they come up with. Hallie goes to london, and Annie goes to California.
Annie arrives in California, and meets her dad for the first time in her life, she is so excited and happy to see him, they hug and he asks her how was camp?
And he notices some changes in her since she has been away at camp. You will see the whole conversation they have together when you watch the movie. They arrive at the house, and when they arrive the Maid Chessy comes out and greets Annie and gets her settled in.
While Annie is getting settled in her and Chessy are talking about how everything has been going since she has been away at camp, while they are talking Annie looks out the window and sees a woman, her name is Meredith,.
Annie asks Chessy about her she tells her her dad has been seeing her a while and that she may become her new stepmother.
She should ask her dad about her. You will see Hallie and Meredith meet in the movie, there is a lot of drama and comedy involved.
Hallie arrives in london, and arrives at the house, when she gets inside the house she is greeted first by her grandfather that she is meeting for the first time. He tells her that her mom is waiting to see her and that she is excited.
Hallie goes to find her and then she hears her name being called she finds her mom on the stairwell, Hallie is so excited and happy to see her mom for the first time in her life, her mom is very happy to see her too.
They have a wonderful relationship, they do a lot of things and go to a couples of places while Hallie is spending time in London.
It is a really amazing story that has a lot of wonderful scenes and good lines in the movie that the different characters say, they all really get into the part of the character they are playing, and they make it very real like the character they are playing is the person they are in real life.
I decided to write about this movie because it is one of my favorite movies, and I really do enjoy all the acting in the movie and the storyline is amazing, I also wrote about because I think it is a movie that a lot of people enjoy and love, It is a good movie to watch with family and friends. And after you have seen it a certain number of times, you can repeat the lines and the different qoutes that the actors say in the movie which is fun and entertaining to do.
My favorite scene from the movie is when they go on their camping trip before Hallie and Annie start school, Meredith comes along on the trip,Hallie and Annie give her a hard time the whole time they are on Their camping trip, they come up with different pranks to do on Meredith, they are all very funny. The last prank they do on Meredith is the final straw for her, she goes up to their father and tells him that the day they get married she is shipping Hallie and Annie off somewhere. And gives him an ultimatum she tells him to choose her or his daughters, he chooses his daughters Meredith gets so upset that she throws something at him.
My favorite characters from the movie is Hallie and Annie, because they are lovable, kind, caring,funny and look out for each other and love their family. They remind me of myself because I am funny, lovable kind and caring and love my family very much and would do anything for my family, like Hallie and Annie would do anything for their family.
I recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good comedy, romantic family story, It is a wonderful movie that has a very happy ending.
