Bringing Down the House

 Hey everyone! I decided to write about one of my favorite movies It is called bringing down the house it stars Steve Martin, Queen Latifah and Jean Smart. It is a comedy/drama/romance movie. Steves character is named Peter, Jean's character is named Kate and Queen's character is named Charlene.

 In the movie we first meet Peter he is a lawyer and recently separated from his wife. he also has two kids a girl and a boy there names are Sarah and Georgie Peter is a person who works a lot he is known as a workaholic and he is a tax attorney, he is often very busy and doesn't have any time to spend with his children. 

He has a friend that he works together with at his job his name is Howie, While Peter is in his office he is on a chat on his computer and talking with someone that is his blind date. 

Howie stops by his office, when he comes in Peter stands up and starts picking stuff up around his office and doing different stuff with his desk. 

Howie then goes to where peter's computer is to see what he is doing on his computer, while he is looking the computer dings howie tells peter that he has a notification message from someone on his chat page peter tells him that the person he is talking to Is his blind date and that they are going to meet and have a meal together at his house that evening.

Howie asks if he can see a picture of the woman he is having a date with, he shows him what she looks like and tells him that she looks nice and pretty also to have fun while he is on his date. 

Well while Peter and howie are talking howie reminds about something at work and that he can't go on the trip that he was planning to go to with his kids, he was going to take them to Hawaii. 

He then calls Kate and tells her that he can not get away from work and that he can't take the kids to Hawaii because he has something going on at work. 

The kids are so disappointed and frustrated with their dad because he cant take them to Hawaii he tells kate that he can take them for the weekend though and he will take them on different outings and take them to go swimming.

The day ends at work, Peter goes home to get ready for his blind, he starts playing music on the radio to set the right mood for that evening with his blind date. 

He also sets out candles and other little things for the dinner that evening,for drinks he is serving champanage and has out other little snacks while the food is cooking in the oven.

He then goes upstairs to get ready to get for date, and he chooses an outfit and then decides to brush his hair , he brushes it a couple different ways then decides to keep it the normal way he usually does he then hears the doorbell ring and he brings over the champagne, he opens the door and is looking down at the glasses before looking up, as he is going to give the champagne over, he looks up at the woman who is at the door and it was not who he is expecting, he asks her if she would like some shampoo instead of champagne because her hair is a little crazy.

He tells her that she was not who he was expecting and that she has to leave because the person who is he expecting will be there any second, he asks her what her name is and she says it is Charlene and that she is the right person that is supposed to be there. 

He tells her that she wasn't in the photo that he received on his computer. You will see what happens with the rest of that scene in the movie It is very funny what happens next on the date.

They get to know each other better and become good friends along the way and Charlene evens helps him get back together with someone very important in his life which you will see in the movie, she also helps him out with his kids while he is working. 

I decided to write about this movie today because it is a good comedy to watch and enjoy, you can laugh along with your family. Queen latifah plays her role very well in the movie, she does a fantastic job you feel like you are in the movie too along with her and Steve Martin. 

There are a lot of comedy and action scenes in the movie it will keep you on the edge of your seat a lot and keep you finding out what is going to happen next in the movie.

My favorite Scene is When Charlene first meets Peter, and they don't get along quite yet because they are still getting to know each other and learn each others personalities, you will see later in the movie when they become better acquainted they become great friends and are there for one another when they need help or someone to talk to.

I recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good comedy/action/drama movie! 

You will really enjoy it!
