Tooth Fairy

 Hey everyone! I decided to write about the movie Tooth Fairy Starring Julie Andrews, Dwayne Johnson, Ashley Judd and Stephan Merchant. 

It is about a Man named Derek Thompson who is a major League Hockey Player and his nickname is the tooth fairy because he is famous for knocking the opposing team players teeth out. 

He is dating a woman named Carly and he decides to go for a visit and he steals a dollar from his girlfriends six year old daughter Tess when she lost a tooth and it was mean for the tooth fairy to take so she can receive money under her pillow the next morning. 

Derek tells her the tooth fairy doesn't exist and is not real, Her mom comforts her and then Derek goes back to house and goes to bed, before he lies down he feels something under his pillow and he sees that it is a magical summons he immediately grows wings and is transported to the tooth fairy world. 

While he is in the tooth fairy realm, he meets his case worker Tracy, and the Head fairy lily. He has a adverbial relationship with them, Lily tells Derek that he crushes the dreams of children and that is due to his not sympathetic dealings with kids like Tess. 

His sentence is two weeks as a tooth fairy, after his meeting with Lilly, he meets another fairy named Jerry who gives him tooth fairy supplies when he goes on his runs to pick up the teeth, he gives him shrinking spray, Invisible dust, And amnesia dust. 

Carly's son Randy who is 14 years old really dislikes Derek. Randy's dream when he grows up is he wants to be a heavy Metal Star. Derek defends Randy against one of his bullies,slowly he begins to win him over and Derek begins teaching him to play his Electric guitar better so he can win a talent show.

Derek starts visiting children as the tooth fairy, and his first couple runs he thinks that he is doing more harm than good being a tooth fairy. 

Lilly tells him that he is the worst tooth fairy ever and she denies him any more supplies from his case-worker jerry for the rest of the time he has to be a tooth fairy. 

And she tells him that he doesn't have any faith in Children, after he is done talking with Lilly he is stopped by another fairy who is named Ziggy who gives him blackmarket supplies. 

You will see what happens when Derek goes on his runs to retrieve the teeth, something happens with his supplies and he gets into trouble. 

And he gets himself into a sticky situation, you  will see that in the movie. It is very funny and entertaining what the rock goes through on his tooth fairy runs, He also learns a lesson along the way while he is being a tooth fairy and after all the situations he goes through. Something happy also happens for him and Carly close to the end of the movie,and he gets a new outlook on life and he has a new and happy personality.

I chose to write about this movie today because It is one of my favorite movies, and the rock is very entertaining,caring and funny. 

It also brings back wonderful memories of my childhood like when I lost my first tooth, I was so excited because I knew the tooth fairy was coming and I was going to get money the next day and that I was starting to get my adult teeth since I was losing my baby teeth. It is also a happy warm-feeling movie to watch with your family and friends, It has a lot of bright and colorful scenes, and It will keep you laughing and smiling throughout the entire movie. 

My favorite scene from the tooth fairy is when Derek is playing in his hockey game, and the game is getting really good, and his team is getting really excited because there getting close to winning all of a sudden he transforms into his tooth fairy outfit, he gets embarrassed because everyone sees what he is wearing so he runs to the restroom, some of his hockey-team members run after him to see what he is up to and they knock on the door and tell him to let them in and they want to know what's going on. 

He uses one of his supplies to make him-self shrink and he flushes himself down the toilet to avoid his teammates when they get the door open. That scene makes me laugh.

I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to laugh- out loud and enjoy a happy and joyful movie that will leave you with a smile on your face.
