Best Friends!

 I love my friends and family. I am close with a lot of my cousins in my family, like for example my cousin Tia is one of my best friends. 

She makes me smile , laugh and gives me good advice, and is there for me when I need to talk. My cousin Ria, is another one of my best friends, she also makes me smile, she gives me encouraging messages, she is always there for me, and is always ready to lend me a smile whenever I need one. I am so glad to have them in my life, they are very supportive,loving and encouraging. 

My favorite thing about my cousin Ria is her heart, she is so loving and kind. She has a heart of gold and it shows through her whenever I hear from her, or when I talk to her on the telephone.

My favorite thing about my cousin Tia is her smile, It shines through her face when I talk to her on FaceTime. She has a smile that lights up my Heart and fills it with Joy. I love her very much. 

And my close best friend is my cousin Devin, he is my big brother and always supports me, and is always there for me. He gives me the best hugs and always gives me a happy smile whenever I see him, and visit with my Uncle, and Aunt and Cousin. I love him very much. He always gives me encouraging words and advice whenever I need it.  I am so glad and happy to have him as my best friend. He is one of a kind and an  amazing person. He is very caring, and loyal, and a very happy and jovial person. 

My favorite thing about Devin is his laugh, and hugs, smile . His laugh is filled with so much Joy and happiness, that it makes me smile. His hugs are my favorite because they come with love and kindness, and warmth. He gives the best hugs I can feel it inside my heart. His smile is my favorite because It lights up the whole room, and it lights up the whole world, It always puts a smile on my face. I love him to the moon and back.

My best friend is also my cousin Sharrie, We have fun together, she makes me laugh and smile. I love hanging out with her, and going shopping with her.

 I always have a wonderful and enjoyable time when I see her. She has taken me to a couple of concerts where my favorite artists were going to be performing, She looks out for me, and always makes sure that I am doing well, and that I am ok.  My favorite things about my cousin Sharrie, is her personality, her smile, and hear heart, Her Personalty, is fun, and caring, and serious. She loves God and her family. She reminds me a lot of my mom. Her smile is my favorite because it is such a happy smile, that lights up her whole face. It is a beautiful smile. Her heart is my favorite because she has so love and kindness in her heart and it really shows through. She is an incredible and amazing person. 

I chose to write an article about friendship because in families you can always have someone that you consider a best friend, or is like a sibling to you. In my family, I have cousins that are my best friends and are like siblings to me. I wanted to share who my best friends are and who are like siblings to me because I care about them with all my Heart.

I believe friendship is important because they are always there for you, and you can always count on friendship in life. They are always there in the exciting moments in life, and in the not exciting  moments in your life. They will always be with you in your journey in life that you are traveling on.

In friendship, I look for loyalty, encouragement, support friends who will always be there for me, and will be with me through my journey in life. 

I am hoping to make new friends this year, I am going to try to make new friends by going to Zoom events or gatherings, and by calling my friends on FaceTime, and hopefully visit with my friends soon. 

New Year 2021

 I have had a lot of great experiences for me in 2020, I will share a few of my favorite experiences with you. My first experience was meeting Anthony Evans. He is my favorite gospel singer. It was such an amazing moment and experience I had such a wonderful time.  I had such a good time because I have always wanted to meet him in person one day, he has such a happy and loving heart. And after he did a little singing in the church service, he said that he is doing a bigger concert later that evening. 

Another one of my favorite experiences was celebrating my birthday in El Paso with my family. I had such a wonderful time. They gave me a wonderful birthday memory, I will never forget. They decorated everything and had Disney balloons, and they even gave me a birthday crown and a sash. I got to have a wonderful dance with my favorite Uncle Deric, we danced the salsa. And I got to dance with My big brother/best friend/favorite cousin Devin to a louis and Ella Fitzgerald song heaven. It was so divine and uplifting. It's a birthday that I will remember forever. They were so happy and honored that I chose to celebrate my birthday In El Paso TX. I love them so much, they all have been there for me in every part of my life, and love me so much. 

Some of my least favorite things that happened in 2020 are not being able to go to school and not being able to see my friends and teachers in person. I was happy that I got to see everyone on zoom, and communicate with my friends.

 I am excited for the new year, I am believing this will be a happy and exciting year. I am hoping that I will get to communicate with my family more. And do more traveling.

I think a couple of my new years resolutions are to see family more, and talk with my friends, and do more traveling. 

For my new year resolutions, I would like to travel to different states because I miss my family a lot, and I really enjoy spending time with my family. I have a wonderful time each time I go to see my family because it is such a happy time, and we all get to connect with each other. And talk about how everyone is doing and catch up with each other.

I would like to get more stronger and healthier with my diabetes, and eat the right stuff, so I don't have to go through the same experience that I had when I was at the hospital. 

Moana

 The Movie Moana is a good and fun filled movie. In the beginning of the movie this is what happens Moana is about her going on an adventure on the sea and find Maui to return the heart to Te Fiti. 

 It starts with Moana being a little girl, and her grandmother telling a story about their tribe. Moana gets excited and she takes a walk outside on the beach and she is drawn to the ocean, and the ocean is drawn to her. Her father takes her away when he sees she is getting to close to the water. He tells her to stay away from the water, because it is dangerous and he doesn't want her to get hurt. As she gets older, she keeps getting drawn to the sea, and her grandmother tells her a story about the sea and she shows Moana a tattoo on her back, she tells her that when she dies, she is going to come back as that tattoo. 

I chose the movie Moana to write about today because I feel similar to Moana in some ways she loves to sing, and she loves her family. She loves animals, and loves the sea, I also love the sea and the shimmer it makes when the sun shines on it. She also likes traveling, I like traveling too I have been traveling since I was at least 2 years old. Moana is very courageous, she is friendly, optimistic, and very open-minded and she likes living her life to the fullest, I like living my life to the fullest too, I like to capture every moment in my life that happens in my life. 

Moana really admires her grandmother and when her grandmother gets sick, she immediately goes to her grandmothers side to see if she is ok and needs anything. I really admire my grandmother,we have a lot of fun together, I think my grandmother and me are like two people. I think we are like Moana and her grandmother, and we are also like Lucy and Ethel in a fun way. Because we make each other laugh, and we go trips together, and just enjoy the time that we share when we are together in that moment in time. 

It is one of my favorite movies because I really like how Moana is courageous, and brave in the movie. I love how she loves to sing, and wants to follow what her grandmother told her to do. She is a very courageous, and an outgoing girl that wants to travel the world and make her family happy.

My favorite part of the movie is when she meets Maui, he reminds me a lot of my cousin Devin because they are both strong, and compassionate, funny, and loyal. Maui and Moana at first have a little trouble in the beginning getting along, then they come together as a team, and work together to restore the heart. 

My favorite character is Moana because she is very brave, loves her family, she is very loyal, compassionate, loves animals, and making her family happy. And she also loves to sing, and loves swimming, and going on adventures, and seeing the world in a different view. Moana also reminds me of my cousin Ria, because they are both sweet, and kind, and lovable, and have beautiful smiles, and great hearts.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves adventures, traveling, singing, and entertainment. It is a very heart-felt and warming movie.

Hosting Birthday Parties for my Family

The Idea of hosting special events came during my moms birthday , I planned a special birthday party for her over zoom. 

And all the family was there to celebrate with her, and a little after the party my Uncle Deric said to my mom, we should do this for all the birthdays in our family, we can have a zoom birthday party where everyone can see each other and be together even if it's not in person we can still be together. My mom said thats a great idea! Emerald set up the birthday party for me, so she can set up the family birthdays and get us all on zoom to celebrate together .

.My family designated me the official hostess of family events because I stay in touch with a lot of my family members, I really enjoy talking with my family and seeing everyones faces. I think also because I have a lot of time and I don't really have a busy schedule, so I have time to create the birthday events and zoom events so it can be spectacular for my family. And everyone can enjoy it. The first zoom event I hosted was a veteran's day event honoring all the veterans for their service, I also talked about the history of veteran's day. And we also celebrated my grandfather Daddy Dodges birthday together.

It was a very memorable experience for the whole family and its something that I can watch whenever I want because I recored the event on zoom. And my family can enjoy it whenever they want because I shared the video with them too. 

The planning process looks like who's birthday is in that certain month, and then writing a little bio about them and what they like, what their favorite music is or childhood memory.And then after I have all of that information, I have to make a powerpoint for the peoples birthday who's birthday is that month and put all of  the information that I gathered from them and put in the powerpoint so the family can see and enjoy all the family members we are celebrating in that month. 

I think of the ideas for these zoom events with my mom and my uncle Deric, my mom gives me ideas on how to prepare for the event and what to put in the powerpoint and what words I could say in the powerpoint to make it look good and nice for the family. My Uncle Deric helps me by encouraging me and telling me I am keeping the family together.

I think the family enjoys the family events because they are all smiling afterwards, and very happy that they got to see family that they haven't seen in a while, and get to talk with everyone even if its for a brief minute. Our family is so close and loving. My family knows I love them and they smile because they know I put a lot of work and made it extra special for them because I love them so much. And because they know they mean a lot to me.

I enjoy the events because I get to see and talk with my family that I haven't talked to in a while, and I am happy to see everyones smiling faces. And I like the joy and sparkle they have in their eyes when they see everyone. It is very heartwarming.

I enjoy planning the events because I am doing it for my family, and I know that they will be happy and excited because they know the event will be fulfilling and heartwarming and filled with a lot of joy,and happiness, and love.

It is not really stressful planning the events, It is a lot of work, I am honored to be the hostess of family zoom events because it is honoring my family, and its something that I can always remember and look back on as I continue on into my adulthood, and it is something my family can always enjoy and look at too while they are living their lives.

I am looking forward to celebrating more birthdays and zoom events with my family and seeing  everyones smiling faces.

For now I am fine with hosting family events,because my family makes me happy.
